My Omaha Trip for Labor Day Weekend, 2024

My Omaha Trip for Labor Day Weekend, 2024

My mom's friend, Naveena Aunty, and her husband, Sai Uncle, invited us to their house and we agreed like last year for Labor Day Weekend. On August 31st, Friday, just a couple of hours before school dismissal, at 1:30 PM, I was really excited as my dad picked me up and my sister and as I was going to meet my friend, Srihaas. We started driving and passed through Illinois and Iowa and, we went to Mcdonalds' for a pit-stop snack. Then, we headed to Nebraska and saw lots of cornfields. Nebraska is notorious for cornfields. Finally, we arrived at our friend's house after a 7-hour drive. There, I met my funny friend named Srihaas. My sister, Disha, and Srihaas's sister, Srinika quickly jumped into playing their games without wasting any time and continued playing until we left.

The next day, September 1st, Saturday, we went to the Hindu Temple of Omaha in the morning and went to the Temple Cafeteria where they had Dosa, a thin, savory crepe from South India that's made from a fermented batter of rice and ground black lentils, Pongal, a South Indian dish of rice and lentils, and Mango Lassi, a mango-flavored drink with a frothy consistency. Then, we went to the Spare Time Arcade & Bowling Center to get some entertainment. After that, we went to our friend's house and I played some Fortnite with Srihaas, we got 2 Victory Royales. To end day 2, we went to Kona Grill for dinner which had the best sushi that I have ever had.
They also had a tiny fish aquarium where they cooked the fish for the sushi.

The next day, September 2nd, Sunday, we passed by Warren Buffet's house.

He is the ninth-richest person from Omaha on earth at $138 billion. Unexpectedly, his house looked like a typical house. He is known for his frugal nature but he does so much charity. After that, we went to a restaurant called Tupelo Honey for breakfast which had fire food. I had delicious waffles with tender and crispy chicken.
After our sumptuous breakfast, we headed to the Kiewit Luminarium which is basically a Science museum. It had a domino effect, water droplet photography

and many cool experiments, it also showed how the experiments worked.
Then, we went to our friend's house and, my mom, my friend Srihaas, and his mom played some Catan with me. Catan is a game where players take the role of settlers, each wanting to build houses and cities while importing and exporting resources. Players gain their victory points as their buildings grow and the first to reach the required number of victory points wins.

On the last day, September 3, Monday, I played Fortnite with Srihaas and we finished our Omaha Trip at Good Evans Breakfast which had some nice food.

Then, we said "Bye" to our friends. At 7:15 PM, we ate dinner at the Thai Pavilion in DeKalb en route to our home. I ate some good Pineapple fried rice. Finally, we headed home and had a good night's sleep. I really loved our trip because I could meet my friend and could have some entertainment with him. Thank you, Naveena Aunty and Sai Uncle for inviting us and for being such good hosts.
