My trip to Branson, Missouri to visit my friends for Labor Day Weekend (Wheelchair accessible)

My trip to Branson, Missouri with my friends & family (Trip on wheels)

Welcome to my fun and historic experience at Branson, Missouri. We booked an Airbnb in Lampe, Missouri so me, my family, my friend Srihaas and his family can stay. They were heading to this location from Omaha, Nebraska. On August 29th, I went to school but had early dismissal at 12PM. During the eight hour drive, we had two fast food stops. The road in the Ozarks had unpredictable turns; just like a curled snake. It was dark. Just a few minutes  away from our AirBnB, a cop stopped us for an unreasonable reason. We didn't give the car in front of us three seconds to go. The officer explained my dad we have to count 1001, 1002 and 1003. Thankfully, it was a warning only and no ticket. Cop's computer was down so it took 30 minutes in total.  Our friends came to the Airbnb at 230 AM.

On August 30th, we did our routine. After my dad got me ready, I went outside. The birds chirps and the river next to our AirBnB were so satisfying. By the way, our place was called Life on the lake and it was beautiful. The bathroom had roll in shower and the home has a ramp at the entrance. My mom researched a wheelchair accessible home and it was a perfect home for all of us with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms overlooking the Table Top Lake from our deck. On Day 1, Saturday, We had a quick breakfast and headed to Top of the Rock Golf Tour. We drove a golf cart through the Ozarks. The scenic view of the waterfalls, birds, and mountains were amazing. My friend Srihaas also drove the golf cart although he got stuck a few times but overall he did a great job.

When our tour is complete and when we were about to head to our next attraction, Museum, we saw a F-22 fighter jet dancing in the air since there was Branson air show. It can fly in freedom since there are no residential areas around here.

Then, we headed to Mexican restaurant , Arnie's Barn in the vicinity. To honor Arnold Palmer, a great golfer, the barn was transported from his hometown of Latrobe, Pennsylvania to its location today at Top of the Rock, where it was carefully reassembled by local Amish craftsmen. I waited for a eternity for my food to arrive. The food was delicious.

Next, we went to the Ozark Museum. First, we saw all the prehistoric animals that lived in Ozarks such as the American Lion, Terror Bird, etc. Then, saw all the Native American inventions for either transportation or entertainment; I also noticed several Native American proverbs.

Did you know that each Native American would look different based on their class? After spending 2 hours or so in the museum, we then drove to Branson Landing which is basically downtown Branson. There are lot of restaurants and entertainment activities here. My parents asked to if I was interested in Zip Line and I gladly said Yes after I watched other people riding it. They allowed people in wheelchair as long as they are transferred to the ride. It is actually a ride rather than a zip line but it zips through. Its called Parakeet Pete's zip line.

First, my friend Srihaas and his sister Srinika went on the ride; they loved it. It was our turn. There were two blue chairs that you sit on. The zip line goes up and zooms down between the river. I would definitely recommend this ride. As my dad made me sit in the chair and before taking off, I started to feel the excitement. The aerial lifting and landing excited me. Few moments later, we were on top of the lake and I started to feel like flying. This ride had many people waiting to ride because it is famous.

After that, my parents and their friends went to wine tasting for few minutes. Me, my sister, Srihaas and her sister watched people singing famous songs. Next, we went to Guy Fieris restaurant. Guy is the guy who appears on TV. First, I caught myself on a trivia game. Then, I ate avocado & cheese pizza. To end day one, we drove back on somewhat scary ride to our AirBnB as the route was dark and curvy.

On Day 2, Sunday, after my routine, we all had a quick breakfast again and went to Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City is a popular amusement park that has many rides and shows. After driving to Silver Dollar City, a bus took us closer. The bus was wheelchair accessible.

Everything was pretty old. A lady assisted us by writing the rides I can go that are wheelchair accessible. An employee at every ride checked the paper and checked if I can do all the physical actions that are necessary on the ride. I have two favorite rides; "Thunderation" and "Mystic Water Falls". Thunderation was the most famous ride and it is a train ride. The dive was scary but exciting because it felt like gravity was pushing me down. It was really fast with a sleek side turn. We thought it was exhilarating. Mystic Water Falls involved lots of water.

My maternal grandmother also came to this ride. At different times, my lower back got wet. There were many bumps along the way where water sneaked into us. There was this futuristic elevator designed to lift heavy objects. It took us 100 feet up and there was a slide that took us down. This is the moment we have been waiting for. We dove in the water splashing everywhere when my maternal grandmother got drenched in water. Later, my friends did a bunch of rides while I relaxed and chosen players for my NFL Draft.

For dinner, my parents urged Indian food but as Srihaas and I love sushi, we went to a sushi restaurant nearby and we relished every scrap. After that, we went to an Indian restaurant and enjoyed mutton kabobs. We ended the day full of fun by driving back to our AirBnB

On Day3, Monday, Srihaas woke up early for us to play on our Nintendo Switches. After a few hours of playing and hanging around, we said "Good Bye" to each other to end the trip and drove back home. We made a pitstop at Buc-ee's,

Buc-ee's is a massive travel center with clean bathrooms, a lot of food options, merchandise and many gas pumps and only available in the southern part of the country; especially Texas. There were at least 1000 people there. I also tried the combined meals. That day the meal was caramel popcorn with edible confetti. It was fantastic. We made couple more stops during our 8 hour drive and finally arrived home and immediately slept.

All in all, this was a funny and a memorable trip.
